Thanks Nick! This is a very good question - I will do a new blog post on it with more detail. But in summary, it helps to put yourself in their shoes. They get hundreds of emails from people that want quotes, and do not have a budget or are not serious about their product. So a factory will try to avoid wasting time with someone who will never place an order. You want to stand out as someone serious, professional and ready to move forward. 1. Use email not text, 2. Use professional language, sound like a business person. 3. Make it quick and to the point - what is your product, what volumes do you need, what materials  4. Include why you are serious (your business has been in business X years, you just got funding, you already have over $X revenue ... anything that shows credibility). I hope that is helpful!
